Codilis and Associates is a legal firm specializing in creditor rights. Codilis & Associates is active in several philanthropic efforts, including support for Cambodia’s Hope, a charitable organization founded in 2003 dedicated to helping children in Cambodia.
Cambodia’s Hope is a program within the Helping Hands Humanitarian Relief Program, which focuses its efforts in Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam and Cambodia. During the Vietnam War, these areas were badly affected by the use of Agent Orange, a toxic chemical that was sprayed over the land to defoliate the forests and prevent crop growth. Today, Agent Orange is linked to birth defects and certain cancers, and an estimated three million people have been affected over three generations.
Cambodia’s Hope, along with Helping Hands’ other Cambodia programs, including the Palm Tree Orphanage and the Samrong Children’s Farm, aim to help educate less fortunate Cambodian children by providing them safe shelter, a place to learn and play, and cultural and intellectual education to give them a better chance for the future.
